USA vs. Mexico

The USSF announced today the second worst kept secret in US Soccer; the USMNT will face Mexico in Glendale, Arizona on February 7th. The match will take place at the University of Phoenix Stadium, which opened this year. The NCAA BCS National Championship game as well as the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl will also take place at the University of Phoenix Stadium in January. According to the press release mailed out to subscribers, this will be the third time that the USMNT has played in Arizona.

"The U.S. Men's National Team will be making its first appearance at the University of Phoenix Stadium and only their third overall in the state of Arizona. The U.S. last played in the Grand Canyon State more than 12 years ago, defeating Norway 2-1 at Sun Devil Stadium on January 15, 1994 in Tempe. In their only other match, also in Tempe, the U.S. drew 2-2 with Denmark on Jan. 20, 1993." - US Soccer.com

I lived in Phoenix for 7 years, and went to ASU, they couldn't play at Sun Devil Stadium while I was there? Anyway, it should be a good match up. The match is being broadcast live on ESPN2 at 9pm EST.
