A very good point.
Over at the MLS Underground, a very good point was brought up about everyone’s favorite whipping boy, Landon Donovan. As we all know, Donovan was scheduled to get married over the New Year to longtime fiancée, Bianca Kajlich. Considering that the nuptials were to happen 4 days before the USMNT camp started up, one would expect him to have a long honeymoon.
Well, it doesn’t appear that he is. Landon is still scheduled to report for camp, which officially opens tomorrow. There are several other USMNT pool players who did opt out of attending camp due to a wedding, Brad Davis, Davy Arnaud and Nick Garcia all listed as players who declined their invitations due to getting married.
Hopefully this is a sign that Landon has his head focused on repairing the damage from last summer.
On a different note, three more names were dropped from the camp roster; Brian Carroll, Clint Dempsey and Alecko Eskandarian.
