Manchester United have signed Edwin van der Sar to a one year contract extension, keeping the 36 year old Dutch keeper at Old Trafford until the end of the 2008 season.
Kevin Hartman has been shipped to Kansas City to play for the Wizards. As Hartman became expendable due to the arrival of Joe Cannon two weeks ago, everyone had to expect this. Hartman will most likely take over the starting job in replacement of Bo Oshoniyi.
In the FIFA Club World Cup 5th place match this morning, South Korea's Chonbuk Motors knocked off the Oceania Champion, amateur side Auckland City 3-0. Auckland City finished the tournament in 6th place and without a goal.
