Youri Djorkaeff's Day Off

RBNY dealing with Youri.
So I wrote yesterday about how Youri Djorkaeff was spotted in the stands during the France vs. Brazil match and how I wondered how Red Bull New York might have felt that he left the team to attend the match. RBNY announced that he left due to a family situation -

"an unexpected, serious family matter in France" - ESPNsoccernet.com

How will RBNY handle this? Mo suspended Amado Guevara when he sat in the stands during a RBNY match he was subbed out of. Youri decided to use an serious family matter as a reason to jet off to Germany and attend the France match. How serious is Youri about his commitment to the Red Bulls? Actually, who cares, its RBNY.

Donovan regains scoring touch.
The defending chumps won their match yesterday, 2-0 over the Kansas City Wizards. Both goals came off the shoes of none other than the USA Golden Boy, Landon Donovan. By my count, Donovan had 4 shots on goal, scoring tow of them. How many did he have in Germany?

Conrad Cracking
Jimmy Conrad returned to MLS on Wednesday, scoring an own goal in the Wizards match against DC United. As it turned out, that own goal allowed United to take all three points in the match, sweeping the Wizards in their season series. He then topped that performance off with pretty much the only way that a defender could, he picked up two yellow cards to get a red card and tossed from the match last night. I sorta feel bad for Jimmy...I guess he has more time for his columns that he writes.
