Eddie Pope has retired from the US Men's National team. Eddie has been a solid member of the squad for the last 8 years, playing in three World Cups, 1998, 2002, 2006. Eddie started his USMNT career as a member of MLS's DC United and currently plays for Real Salt Lake.

Eddie joins Claudia Renya and Brian McBride as members of the 2006 USMNT that have retired from international play. Eddie was sent off in the second match in Germany against Italy and was unable to play the last match against Ghana.

Eddie, it was a blast. Take it easy pal. Please do not go to RBNY.
